Meet Jeanette Ayala-Rios

I’m a Southern California native, born and raised as a Mexican American and the daughter of immigrant parents. Growing up in between two cultures, I truly understand the complexities of navigating multiple identities and the unique challenges immigrants face. I believe it’s essential to create a space where you feel comfortable embracing your cultural background, and I’m here to support you in that journey. As a bilingual therapist, I offer therapy in both English and Spanish to ensure you receive care in a space that feels inclusive and culturally attuned.

My own journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s shaped me in ways I never could have imagined. From relationship struggles to my own mental health challenges, I’ve been through my own process of deep healing and self-reflection. This experience has inspired me to pursue a career in therapy, where I can support others on their own path to healing. I know how difficult it can be to take that first step, but I’m deeply honored to walk beside you as you begin or continue your own journey of growth.

Through mindfulness and therapy, I learned how to reconnect with myself—practicing self-compassion, non-judgment, and a deep understanding of my needs. I’m committed to helping you do the same, particularly when it comes to healing from childhood trauma and overcoming relationship struggles, so that you can build the fulfilling life you deserve.

My Approach

Holistic Healing and Empowerment Approach

I take a holistic, person-centered approach to therapy, one that honors the whole person—mind, body, heart, and spirit. My goal is to help you reconnect with your inner wisdom and guide you toward healing through compassion, curiosity, and acceptance.

Mindfulness, non-judgment, and cultural sensitivity are foundational in my work. As a bilingual therapist and the daughter of immigrants, I understand how our cultural identities, family histories, and intergenerational trauma shape the way we experience emotions and relationships. I create a safe and inclusive space where you can show up as your true self and feel supported.

I specialize in trauma-informed therapy, with a focus on childhood and intergenerational trauma. EMDR is one of the primary tools I use to help you process painful memories, while somatic techniques support emotional regulation and body awareness. Whether you’re dealing with heartbreak, relationship challenges, anxiety, or feeling disconnected, I’m here to help you heal.

My approach is integrative, blending EMDR, mindfulness, Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and spiritual exploration when relevant. Every session is tailored to meet your unique needs, whether that means learning new coping skills, exploring deep emotional patterns, or simply sitting with your emotions in a safe space.

My hope is to walk alongside you as you navigate your healing journey—helping you break free from old patterns, build emotional resilience, and live a life that feels authentic, aligned, and whole.
