Frequently asked questions

Do you take insurance?

I don't bill insurance companies directly. However, if your insurance plan includes coverage for out-of-network providers, I can provide you with a monthly superbill (an itemized invoice) to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Many clients find that this covers a significant portion of their session fee. It’s a good idea to check with your insurance provider to confirm your out-of-network mental health benefits.

If needed, here is the CPT code commonly used for sessions:
53-minute session: 90837

I choose not to accept insurance directly because it requires assigning a mental health diagnosis, which then becomes part of your permanent medical record. It can also limit the flexibility of your treatment plan. By staying out-of-network, I can provide therapy that is private, personal, and tailored specifically to you, without any restrictions on session length, frequency, or type of care.

What is your rate?

$275 for 53 minutes.

What is EMDR?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps you process and heal from trauma and other distressing experiences. Through guided eye movements (or other forms of bilateral stimulation), EMDR supports your brain in processing and releasing stuck memories, reducing their emotional impact. It’s an effective tool for healing from trauma. You can read more here.
